The massage concentrates on the areas most prone to stress and tension; the shoulders, neck, upper back, arms, face and scalp are worked on using a combination of both gentle, tension releasing strokes and invigorating scalp massage. This is ideal for those in desk bound jobs or who carry tension in their neck and shoulders.
Indian Head Massage can help you to think more clearly due to an increase of blood to the brain. This together with the increased blood supply will help the condition and growth of your hair.
This massage can help you sleep at night and is useful for headaches, eye-strain, sinusitis and muscle tension in the neck or shoulders. It also eliminates waste material and toxins from the body.
Traditionally performed with the client sitting in a chair fully clothed if no oils wish to be used or as we recommend at Peak Holistics with a towel around your upper so that oils can be used. Using oils is highly recommended because of the benefits they can bring to the body. To derive maximum benefit, it is advised that the oils are kept on for 12-24hrs but this is not essential.
We also offer a modern version of this massage where you lie down on the couch. Some people feel that they can relax more with this method but the choice is entirely yours.

The treatment lasts about 40 minutes.
